The range of learning videos can be used free of charge by any German-speaking university and all interested lecturers. In addition, you can include individual courses or the entire course offer in your lecture schedule, e.g. as a choice offer for the Studium Generale. It is also possible to use the courses as a supplement to specialist courses in suitable studies (for example in blended learning format) or in certificates. By using the courses, you will expand your range of courses for ESD and your students will have more flexible ways to expand their competences. In this way, you can integrate innovative, multimedia teaching and modern examination methods at your university with little effort, and at the same time help to establish ESD in higher education.
“The video based courses of the Virtual Academy of Sustainability are well suited to be integrated in my own teaching. By this I can show different issues of sustainability from other colleagues.”
Prof. Dr. Grit Walther
Chair of Operations Management, RWTH Aachen
Three ways to integrate the courses in your Curriculum:
- Integrate a complete course in your lecture schedule (Complete offer: Learning videos and standardized exam)
- Integrate one or several learning videos in your existing courses (Modular offer)
- Conception of blended-learning-modules (e.g. 3 credit points with the video-based course and 3 credit points with an appropriate seminar)
We will advise you if you are interested, which of these models might be suitable for your university and support you during the implementation process.
“The offer of the Virtual Academy of Sustainability allows us to be more innovative in teaching as we are nowadays.”
Prof. Dr. Gerd Michelsen
UNESCO-Chair Higher Education for Sustainable Development, Leuphana University
